1. After hooping the sampler pattern, I started on the embroidery stitches that I remembered doing from previous embroidery projects. Cross Stitch, Running stitch, Split Stitch and French Knot. The Chain Stitch was a new stitch to me but alot of fun to learn! I lengthened my stitches to change the look from the left to the right.
2. I double, triple, and quadruple checked the backside to make sure the thread didn’t knot and everything looked neat.
3. The Stem stitch is my favorite stitch, it might look complicated, but it is very easy and produces a beautiful twisted yarn look.
4. All the other stitches went in very quickly. I also learned how to do the center Fish-Bone Stitch and the Blanket Stitch.
5. For this circle Fill Stitch, I decided to do something a little different so it didn’t look exactly the same as the square Fill Stitch – sorry the photo is a little blurry.
6. I know this wasn’t necessary, but I also adding a Running Stitch around the edge and I really like how it turned out.
7. After looking over my stitches, I decided to change the Circular Buttonhole stitch from a 3 count thread…..
….to a 4 count thread and this has a much cleaner look and the thread lays a lot better.
9. I finished up doing #16 and stitching around the tight curves. I started with a Running stitch, then a Back stitch, and then a Stem stitch.
